Annette joined Black and Gold in 2015 from InterContinental Wellington to manage the team and events arm of the business.

Annette has been working in hospitality for over 20 years, and began her career as a Chef before completing a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management through Corporate Hotel Group Q Hotels in the UK. Since then Annette has headed up food and beverage teams in large hotels, stately homes, event venues in the UK, Scotland and Australia and has travelled extensively before settling in Wellington.
Her passion for hospitality and diverse background allow her to lead a team dedicated to creating solution-based event planning and execution. Ensuring true hospitality, amazing food and beverage and great service delivery is at the heart of everything they do.

Kishor joined the team in 2017 from Epicure NZ. He has extensive experience in food and beverage operations in NZ, UK and India.

After completing his diploma in Hotel Management and catering in India he completed a year working in the UK before moving to Auckland to continue to study and attain an advanced Diploma.

Two years working at Ellerslie before moving to Epicure for a further two years has given him exposure to all types and sizes of events. His dedication to customer service and commitment to excellence drives him to ensure his team of function Managers deliver outstanding service across all of our venues.

Mita Joined Black and Gold in 2018.

He is a chef with many years’ experience in heading up brigades in some of Wellington’s largest and most established function venues such as the Amora Hotel and most recently Parliament. Mita’s dedication is to to deliver, consistent, quality and fantastic food that fulfils our customers requirements.

Mita and his brigade are dedicated to consistently producing top quality, delicious food using local and seasonal produce that always fulfills our customers requirements.

Emma Joined the team from the InterContinental Wellington where she headed up Conference Operations for two years. Originally from Scotland, Emma attained a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management with a Corporate 4* Hotel group in the UK. Emma has extensive experience in running events of all sizes in a variety of established hotels as well as reception, reservations and coordination.


Black and Gold provide dedicated catering for all of our venue hire spaces.

Our menus have be specifically designed to be balanced meals while giving you as much freedom of choice as possible. We use fresh, local and seasonal produce where possible and most dishes are made in house by our team of dedicated chefs. To try to cater for as many of our guest’s requirements as possible we have included a large number of gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian and vegan dishes.

We aim to give you the ability to offer any delegates with dietary requirements as much selection as possible.

We are always happy to tailor menus to your specific needs.


As well as venue hire when planning corporate events or a social function, we partner with other specialists to cater for all aspects of your conference, meeting, wedding, Christmas Party or other special occasions.

As a professional event management company we are a member of Conference Incentive New Zealand (CINZ). We are also members of Hospitality NZ, Restaurant Associates and a partner of Business Events Wellington.

Opening the Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club to the public for meetings and events has allowed the club to remain an active sailing club, providing improved member spaces, as well as maintaining the iconic building on the waterfront and improve the standard of sailing and water safety courses being delivered by the Wellington Ocean Sports Centre.
